How to Stop a bully
Sometimes, in the playground, I have found There's a grade six bully lurking around. He makes me feel scared, 'cos I'm only grade one, Yet my teacher has told me grade one should be fun! I know that Ms. Moffat will always help out, So at lunch I told what I'm worried about. 'This boy is so big, and he pushes and teases, He makes fun of my hair and my fits of the sneezes. I don't want to go outside – I'll have to stay in - If he chases I'll fall and I'll bruise up my skin!' Ms. Moffat listened and then reached out her hand, She said, 'Billy let's go and play in the sand!' And I nodded my head and grabbed my blue coat And we walked to the sandpit and in it she wrote....... 'To all bullies, large and small..... Please stay away. We're tired of you all!' Ms. Moffat then turned and with smile oh so bright Laughed and said, ' That should give them a fright!' And in class that pm the class started to plan How we'd stick together and form our own clan. We thought, we brainstormed, gave our own points of view - So here's what to do when a bully bullies you! Look for your classmates and call them by name, Now point to the bully to show who's to blame, Then hold up your hand in a sign that means STOP! Stand up to that bully - don't suddenly flop. If you seem to be weak he'll tease you some more, Stand tall with feet planted firm on the floor. With your loudest voice yell, 'Just Stop! Go Away!' Then run with your friends to the sandpit to play! If the bully continues - go straight to the top, He'll be sent home from school and the bullying will stop Chris Letourneau |
A Social Solitude
How Social dictates, Solitude grounds. Social ego inflates, Certainly we found. Too many distractions become evident As imagination becomes non-existent. Art needs to please, For Social awareness to increase. Nurture your creativity, It needs to live infinitely. Lorraine Fader |
